This session is designed so volunteer board members can help their organization‘s fund efforts. By the end of this session, participants will know:

• Fiduciary responsibility of Board members
• The roles that boards play in the five I's of fund raising -- identify, inform, involve, invest and impact
• Myths and facts of fund raising by Board members   

 
Sophie Penney has a long and successful track record of raising funds for high profile institutions. She is currently the Director of Development for Foxdale Village. Previously, Sophie served in the College of the Liberal Arts leading one of the largest fundraising units at Penn State.
